Before handing any of these to a younger player, check the game’s content rating on its page. Our parents’ guide shows how to set which ratings a child can join.

Obby and tycoon: easy to start, hard to put down
Tower of Hell is the purest obby on Roblox: a randomly generated tower with absolutely no checkpoints, so one slip sends you back down. Its page shows over 29 billion visits. Great for short sessions.
Theme Park Tycoon 2 is a slower, creative tycoon. You get a plot of land, build rides, design your own roller coasters and decorate with hundreds of scenery pieces, with friends if you like. It suits kids who like to build more than race.
Roleplay: make up the story
Brookhaven RP (over 88 billion visits on its page) is a sandbox town: pick a house, grab a car, invent a scene. Our Brookhaven guide explains the basics and chat safety.
Adopt Me! centers on raising pets and decorating a home. It’s one of the gentlest big games on the platform, though pet trading is popular, so talk to kids about trade scams.
Dress To Impress turns fashion into a quick contest: you get a theme, style an outfit, and players rate the looks. For building your everyday avatar on a budget, see Roblox outfits under 100 Robux.
Horror and mystery: for kids who like a scare
DOORS sends you through door after door, and its own page suggests going in without a guide and learning from each death. It warns of loud sounds and flashing lights, and it’s genuinely tense, so it fits older kids and teens better.
Piggy is an escape game: use items, set traps and get away from Piggy while uncovering the mystery behind it. It runs in seasons and is a step gentler than DOORS.
Murder Mystery 2 has quick rounds: one player is the murderer, one the sheriff, everyone else tries to survive. Its page mentions knife codes on the creator’s social channels; as with any code, only trust ones from the creator’s own links.
Simulators: progress at your own pace
Grow a Garden became a giant by being relaxing: buy seeds, plant, wait, harvest, sell. Codes appear during events; see Grow a Garden codes for where they’re posted.
Bee Swarm Simulator has you collecting bees, gathering pollen and turning it into honey across a large map. Bright, friendly and good for younger players.
Survival, adventure and fighting
Natural Disaster Survival is one of Roblox’s oldest hits: survive whatever disaster hits the map. Its whole description is “Quickly, run around in circles! Your life depends on it!” Simple and good for mixed ages.
99 Nights in the Forest is newer and darker: build a camp with friends while “something is watching you.” Better for older kids.
Blox Fruits is a long adventure where you level up, sail between islands and use fruit powers. With over 64 billion visits on its page, it’s one of the biggest games on Roblox. Our Blox Fruits codes guide covers redeeming codes safely.
The Strongest Battlegrounds is pure combat: train and fight to be the strongest, on PC, console or mobile. Its page notes it includes randomized rewards (emotes and spins), which is worth knowing for parents. Jailbreak is cops-versus-robbers with heists, escapes and chases across a city.
Want to make your own?
Many of these started as one person’s project. If your player keeps saying “I could make this,” point them to Roblox Studio for beginners. And if they want Robux for game extras, start with legit ways to get Robux and the account security checklist.
Frequently asked questions
How did you pick these Roblox games?
Every game here is live on Roblox, recently updated, and has hundreds of millions to billions of visits on its Roblox page. We picked one or two per genre that are easy for new players to get into.
Are these games OK for young kids?
It depends on the game and the child. The horror picks are built to be scary. Check the game's content rating on its Roblox page, and use parental controls to set which ratings your child can join.
Do I need Robux to play these games?
No. All of them are free to join. Most sell optional extras with Robux, so a monthly spending limit is a good idea for kids.
What's an obby?
Short for obstacle course: you jump, climb and dodge your way through a series of stages to reach the end.
