Dandy’s World is a multiplayer survival game on Roblox made by BlushCrunch Studio. The game page describes it as mascot horror: you team up with other players, each playing a cartoon character called a Toon, to finish machines and go deeper into a building called Gardenview Center while monsters hunt you.
It is cute on the surface and tense once a chase starts. This guide explains how runs work, how Toons differ and what a parent should know before saying yes.
How a run works
Each run is a series of floors. On every floor your team has the same job:
- Find the machines scattered around the floor.
- Work on them until they are complete. This is where skill checks come in: short timing prompts that reward a well-placed tap.
- Avoid the Twisteds, the monsters that roam each floor and chase Toons.
- When enough machines are done, head for the exit and move down to the next floor.
While you work, you also collect Ichor, the game’s currency, and Research on the Twisteds you meet. Between floors you can spend at Dandy’s shop on items such as stamina snacks. Trinkets are equippable items that change your Toon’s stats to suit your playstyle.
How Toons work
Every Toon has the same six stats, and the mix is what makes each one play differently. Guides from The Escapist and Destructoid describe them like this:
| Stat | What it affects |
|---|---|
| Health | How many hits you can take |
| Movement Speed | How fast you walk and run |
| Stamina | How long you can sprint |
| Stealth | How easily Twisteds notice you |
| Skill Check | How forgiving the timing prompts are on machines |
| Extraction Speed | How fast you work on machines and pull Ichor |
Each Toon also has abilities. Poppy, for example, gets a short speed boost when she is hit, which helps her escape. Finn gets faster when a machine is finished.
New Toons are bought from the shop with Ichor. Many also need Research progress on a specific Twisted or a set of tasks with another Toon first. Destructoid’s beginner guide lists Tisha at 500 Ichor and Rodger at 1,000 Ichor plus Research, but the game is in Alpha and costs can change, so check the shop.
How players rank the Toons
Tier lists for Dandy’s World are opinions, and they shift with every balance patch. What the guides agree on is roles rather than a single “best” Toon:
| Role | Toons players often pick | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Starter all-rounder | Poppy | Available from the start, escape boost |
| Distractor | Tisha, Pebble | Fast, or good at pulling Twisteds away from the team |
| Machine worker | Rodger, Finn, Shelly | High extraction or skill-check stats, or boosts to teammates |
| Support | Sprout, Astro, Vee | Healing, stamina for teammates, or showing where Twisteds and machines are |
The Escapist’s list ranked Shelly and Astro near the top for helping the whole team. That list dates from 2025, so read it as a snapshot. For a beginner, the better question is which role you enjoy. A team that splits machine work and distraction finishes floors faster than four players chasing the same machine.
Tips for your first runs
- Stay near your team. A lone Toon on a far machine is the easiest target.
- Save stamina for chases. Sprinting everywhere leaves you empty when a Twisted turns the corner.
- Finish machines before chasing Ichor. Ichor matters, but a stalled floor ends runs.
- Learn one Toon well. Switching every run makes it harder to learn the timing.
What costs Robux
Toons are earned with Ichor, not bought with Robux. The game’s store on roblox.com listed optional cosmetic packs and bundles from 100 to 550 Robux when we checked in October 2026, such as seasonal skin packs. None of them are needed to progress.
Seasonal events, like the current Halloween floors listed on the game page, often add limited cosmetics. That is the moment kids ask to spend. A monthly limit from our spending limits guide keeps it predictable.
Notes for parents
- Check the scare level first. Watch one run together. “Mild” on Roblox still includes repeated mild fear, and the Twisteds are designed to startle.
- Flashing lights. The game’s own disclaimer warns photosensitive players.
- Chat with strangers. Team play invites chat. Roblox’s age checks and parental controls decide who can talk to your child; our parents’ guide shows the settings.
- No free Robux here. Anyone offering Robux or rare Toons for a password or a link is running a scam. See why Robux generators are scams.
If your child likes team games but not the scares, our best Roblox games by genre lists calmer picks, and Grow a Garden is a gentle place to start.
