Is it cheaper to buy Robux on the website or in the app?

The website. Roblox gives up to 25% more Robux for the same price when you buy on the web, on a computer or with a gift card, compared with in-app purchases.

Which Robux package has the best value?

Bigger packages cost less per Robux. In Canada, for example, the 24,000-Robux package works out to about 1.17 cents per Robux against about 1.48 cents for the smallest one.

Are discounted Robux from other sites a good deal?

No. Roblox only sells Robux through its own site, apps and authorized gift cards. Third-party Robux sellers break Roblox's rules and often lead to stolen accounts or lost money.

Is the web bonus a limited-time sale?

No. Roblox's help center calls it a permanent change that started on November 26, 2024.

The Cheapest Way to Buy Robux: Packages and Channels Compared

Robux prices depend less on timing than on where and how you buy. The same money can get you 25% more Robux just by switching from an app store to the website, and bigger packages lower the price per Robux further. Here is every legitimate channel compared, using only prices we could confirm on roblox.com.

There is no secret discount. The cheapest Robux come from roblox.com, a gift card, or a Plus bundle if you already want Plus. Anything cheaper than that is a scam or a stolen account waiting to happen.

The one rule that matters most: buy on the web

Since November 26, 2024, Roblox gives up to 25% more Robux when you buy on the website, on a computer or with a gift card, compared with mobile and console app purchases. Roblox’s help center says this is a permanent change, not a promotion.

The best-known example: in the US, $9.99 buys 1,000 Robux on the website versus 800 through an app store. Gift cards redeemed at roblox.com get the same bonus.

Package prices

United States: from roblox.com, 500 Robux cost $4.99, 1,000 cost $9.99 and 2,000 cost $19.99, roughly 1 cent per Robux. Larger packages also exist; check roblox.com for their current price, since we could not confirm every US tier.

Canadian website packages (CAD):

Robux (web)	Price (CAD)	In-app amount for comparison	Cents per Robux
270	$3.99	240	1.48
500	$6.99	400	1.40
1,000	$13.99	800	1.40
1,500	$19.99	1,200	1.33
2,000	$27.99	1,700	1.40
3,625	$49.99	3,150	1.38
5,250	$69.99	4,500	1.33
11,000	$139.99	10,000	1.27
24,000	$279.99	22,500	1.17

The third column is the amount roblox.com shows without the web bonus. The lowest price per Robux is the largest package, but only buy it if you would actually spend it: Robux sitting unused are not savings.

Every channel compared

Channel	Web bonus	Good for	Watch out
roblox.com (card, PayPal)	Yes, up to 25%	Most buyers	Use a parent’s payment method with a spending limit
Gift card redeemed at roblox.com	Yes	Parents controlling spending, gifts	Buy only from authorized sellers
Mobile app store	No	Convenience	Same price, fewer Robux
Console store	No	Convenience	Same price, fewer Robux
Roblox Plus bundles	Bundle pricing	People who want Plus anyway	Monthly charge; see Plus vs Premium
Gift Robux link (US, select users)	No, standard pricing	Adults gifting a US account	Final sale, no prepaid cards
Microsoft Rewards	Not applicable	Spending time instead of money	Catalog availability varies; see Rewards guide

Plus bundles as a discount

Roblox Plus costs US$4.99 a month and bundles add Robux: Plus 500 at $8.99, Plus 1000 at $12.99 and Plus 2000 at $21.99. If you would pay for Plus anyway, the extra Robux work out to about 0.8 to 0.85 US cents each, cheaper than a web package. If you would not, a plain website package is cheaper. Canadian Plus prices appear in CAD at checkout.

Step by step: the cheapest way for most families

Decide the monthly amount first, so the cheapest Robux do not become the most Robux.
Buy on roblox.com in a browser, or buy a gift card from an authorized seller and redeem it at roblox.com/redeem.
Pick the largest package you will actually use that month.
Turn on a spending limit in Roblox parental controls. Our parents’ guide shows how.
Skip app-store purchases unless convenience is worth losing the bonus.
