Is Roblox Premium Worth It? Roblox Plus and Its Bundles, Priced Out

“Is Premium worth it?” has a new answer in 2026: you can no longer buy it. Roblox replaced Premium with Roblox Plus, a cheaper plan with discounts instead of Robux, plus optional bundles that add a monthly Robux allowance. Here is what each option costs, the price-per-Robux math, and who actually comes out ahead.

Prices below are in US dollars from roblox.com and Roblox's help center, checked October 2026. In Canada the price appears in CAD at checkout; we do not list CAD subscription prices because we could not confirm them.

What happened to Premium

  • April 30, 2026: Roblox Plus launched worldwide and Premium stopped accepting new members.
  • May 30, 2026: existing Premium members lost the 10% bonus on Robux purchases and the Premium logo. They kept their monthly Robux, trading, and (on Premium 1000/2200) the ability to publish avatar items.
  • If a current Premium member cancels, Roblox says they cannot resubscribe. Think twice before cancelling an old plan that still gives you Robux each month.

Roblox Plus tiers and what they include

PlanPrice (US)Monthly Robux
Roblox Plus$4.99/monthNone
Plus 500$8.99/month500
Plus 1000$12.99/month1,000
Plus 2000$21.99/month2,000

Every tier includes the same Plus benefits, according to Roblox’s help center:

  • 10% off in-game items, avatar items and more, rising to 20% off from your third consecutive month. Discounts do not apply to resold items, items over 1 million Robux, UGC publishing fees or group fees.
  • Free private servers in supported games (since September 24, one free private server per game).
  • Send Robux to others with no platform fee. Everyone involved must be age-verified and 18+, or a parent must approve the transfer for users under 18.
  • Unlimited trading and reselling of Limited items.
  • Publishing and selling avatar items on the Marketplace.

You can subscribe on the website or desktop (card, PayPal or Roblox gift card credit), through the Apple App Store, or through Google Play. Roblox says Plus is not currently sold on consoles, Quest or the Samsung Galaxy Store version of the app.

Price per Robux: bundle vs plain purchase

On the website, Roblox sells Robux packages with up to 25% more Robux than in app stores. In the US, roblox.com prices 500 Robux at $4.99, 1,000 at $9.99 and 2,000 at $19.99, about 1 cent per Robux.

OptionPriceRobuxCents per Robux (whole price)Cents per Robux (above the $4.99 Plus price)
Web package$9.991,0001.00n/a
Plus 500$8.995001.800.80
Plus 1000$12.991,0001.300.80
Plus 2000$21.992,0001.100.85

How to read it:

  • If you only want Robux, a plain website package is cheaper per Robux than any bundle.
  • If you already want Plus for the discounts or private servers, the bundles price the extra Robux at roughly 0.8 cents each, cheaper than a web package.

Roblox’s own page shows this too: it lists each bundle against a crossed-out price equal to Plus plus the same Robux bought separately.

When the discount pays for itself

Plus costs $4.99, roughly the price of 500 Robux. A 10% discount saves 500 Robux only if you spend about 5,000 Robux a month on eligible items. From month three, at 20%, the break-even drops to about 2,500 Robux a month. Most casual players spend far less, so the discount alone rarely justifies Plus for them. Heavy spenders and players who use private servers a lot get more out of it.

Parent checklist before subscribing

  1. Decide who pays. Subscriptions renew automatically. On the website you manage them in Settings, Subscriptions; app-store subscriptions are managed in the phone’s app-store settings.
  2. Set a spending limit in Roblox parental controls, so the discount does not turn into more spending. Our parents’ guide walks through it.
  3. Know the transfer rule. Under 18, Robux transfers need a parent’s approval.
  4. Protect the account with 2-step verification: see Roblox account security.

Frequently asked questions

Can I still buy Roblox Premium?

No. Roblox stopped selling new Premium memberships on April 30, 2026. Existing members can keep theirs, but if they cancel they cannot resubscribe.

Does Roblox Plus give Robux every month?

The basic US$4.99 Plus plan gives no Robux. The Plus 500, Plus 1000 and Plus 2000 bundles add 500, 1,000 or 2,000 Robux each month.

Is a Plus bundle cheaper than buying Robux?

Only if you would pay for Plus anyway. Counting the whole bundle price, Robux cost more per unit than a one-time website package. Counting only the part above the Plus price, they cost less.

Can I subscribe on a console?

Not at the moment. Roblox lists the website or desktop, the Apple App Store and Google Play as the places to buy Plus.

Do I need Plus to sell clothing?

Yes, or a legacy Premium 1000/2200 membership. Roblox requires one of them to publish avatar items and keep them on sale.
